lindsAy.
I saw this photo and a million thoughts came to my head. Thoughts remembering blogtv shows, hanging out with him, phone calls from him on fourth of july, writting letters to his house… but most of all the MDPFLL. Mitchell Davis, wow. I’ve always liked his work, but i became big into it a little before last summer started. This was when things were different than now, but i wouldn’t say necissarilly for the better.
It kind of annoys me when people call Mitchell a sell out. He is not a sell out…he has changed his style to things he prefers doing that make him happier. Don’t we all want to live out our passion and not live to please other people? That is all he is doing. So whether his whole idea for livelavalive has changed, no matter what his videos entail or don’t entail, whether he is getting more famous each day or whether his focused has changed from videos to photography, he hasn’t sold out. We have seen mitchell grow and change since livelavalive has started. The change was inevitable. New passions, loves and ideas are going to come into his head, leave his head or never make it to our lives because he changed his mind. We are the audience, we are not the performer. Who are we to judge the work he as done? We didn’t have to start watching his videos and we don’t have to continue if we don’t like what we see. Kyle and Mitchell are doing something amazing with livelavalive and we need to except it and enjoy it. There will come a day when Mitchell stops making videos. (i know secretly we all hope he continues well past Leon’s age) but that most likely wont happen. So shut up, buckle up and enjoy livelavalive while it’s still here.
I’d say being a sell out is being someone who is fake to themselves and other people.
Being a sell out is not someone who is fufilling their lifes passions by pleasing themselves.
Just something to leave all you people who call yourselves “lavaheads” to think about.
